About Us

Kilimototo Social Enterprise strengthens the earning power of women farmers and transforms the lives of children. By connecting agriculture, education and protection for children, we are working directly with communities to ensure women and their families have a sustainable source of income and children have access to the quality early education and care they need to succeed and fulfil their potential.

Kilimototo focuses on providing opportunities for women to realise their ability to produce food crops that can be consumed locally and marketed globally to better improve their income and livelihoods. We teach women farmers modern agricultural farming methods to grow fast moving crops, increase crop production and facilitate equal access to global markets for selling their produce.

Without access to quality, reliable child care in the rural areas women can be held back from returning to work after having children and earning an income to support their families. We are supporting mothers with children aged 0-5 to access quality Early Childhood Development programmes through community owned affordable daycare centers.

VISION: A world where women farmers are economically empowered to be able to meet all their basic needs and all children get the best start in life.

MISSION: Enable women in agriculture to use modern farming methods that will increase income, improve their livelihoods and ensure the youngest most vulnerable children have access to quality early childhood care and education.
